Apprenticeship Overview

Designed to give you the base of knowledge you need to perform with confidence. You’ll become capable of operating across a range of insurance areas, including technology, compliance, and technical and consultancy support. With learning that is directly relevant to your role, you’ll focus on the essential areas firms need to provide efficient, high quality and compliant service to clients. 

Taking you from beginner to experienced administrator, you’ll learn strategies to enhance stakeholders’ experience of administrative services, including insurance applications and claims. Supervised by industry-leading experts, you’ll quickly become confident handling these services for everyone from clients and underwriters to senior management and third-party vendors. 

Carve your ideal career path, with a choice of three specialist pathways in either underwriting, claims, or broking. In recognition of your development, you’ll earn the industry-recognised Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance

Depending on your employer, your CII modules will either be the London Markets (LM) pathway or the Insurance Fundamentals (IF) pathway

Looking to push your career further? You’ll be eligible to progress onto the Level 4 Insurance Professional Apprenticeship and earn a CII Diploma in Insurance. 

Who's eligible?

Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but typically includes:   

  • A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and maths   

OR    

  • Relevant work experience   

To apply for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role.
