Apprenticeship overview
This Level 7 Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship provides a practice focused law course, combining academic modules with continuous and embedded development of the skills and attributes required by the legal profession.
You’ll develop the skills and confidence you need to work efficiently to fluid deadlines within a fast-paced environment. You’ll learn how to handle complex, confidential or sensitive information, draft client documents, carry out research and generally conduct legal matters through to completion.
At the end of the programme, you'll sit the SQE assessments as part of your End Point Assessment, thereby offering a viable alternative route to qualification as a solicitor.
We offer different programmes for this apprenticeship, dependent on your existing legal qualification and your employer’s study preferences (day release or block release). Those who have not recently studied law can refresh their legal knowledge with an extra 6-months guided self-study before moving on to the day release programme.

Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find the answer to a question, our advisers will be happy to help.
Law apprenticeships are covered by employers through the Apprenticeship Levy.
The Apprenticeship Levy is a tax that all employers with a payroll over £3m pay. You can utilise this levy to fund apprenticeship training programmes for employees across all levels.
Employers who don’t pay into the Levy can also benefit from this apprenticeship. Here, the government will cover 95% of the apprenticeship costs, with the employer liable for just 5%.
