Apprenticeship Overview
Our Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is designed to equip you to work competently within the ethical and regulatory framework required for practice as a paralegal.
You’ll develop problem solving skills and sound working practices, including the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships and to plan, prioritise and manage your work.
The Paralegal Apprenticeship is designed to help you exercise technical skills and expertise including legal research, drafting documents, communicating clearly, both orally and in writing, and analysing and assessing information.
You’ll also gain sufficient knowledge of one area of legal practice to enable you to conduct relevant paralegal work under supervision.
Who is the programme for?
The Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is suitable for professionals looking to provide support within a legal team while working in a demanding environment where quick thinking, attention to detail and clear communication are vital. This programme will help to upskill in legal matters and transactions to manage client requests and colleague demands, often connected to sensitive or complex issues.

Where will the programme take you?
On successful completion of the programme, you’ll be well placed to undertake more advanced duties and progress to a senior paralegal role.
You may also progress onto our Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship (with exemptions to reflect your prior learning).
All law learners can access a suite of employability skills sessions delivered by the BPP Careers team and gain further development of skills through engagement with BPP social impact initiatives.
Who's eligible?
To apply for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role, and, as a minimum requirement, have:
Three A-Levels equivalent to 96 UCAS points
Five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and maths, plus any additional employer requirements
We will accept other qualifications and UCAS points at our discretion.
