Entry requirements

The entry requirements for the Law Conversion Course (Master's) are as follows: 

  • Minimum 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in any subject from a recognised UK institution (or overseas equivalent) 

If you do not think you meet the entry requirements, but have other qualifications, strong references or relevant work experience, please contact us and we can review your options. 

English language requirements

Course structure

Go from non-law graduate to confident legal practitioner, with the knowledge, professional capabilities, and problem-solving skills you need. Your learning will shape you into a confident and capable legal professional.
Stage One(120 credits)

Integrating skills throughout with teaching delivered in the context of realistic legal scenarios, you’ll cover a range of essential legal areas:

  • Company law (15 credits) 

  • Contract law (15 credits) 

  • Criminal law (15 credits) 

  • Land law (15 credits) 

  • Public law I (15 credits) 

  • Public law II (15 credits) 

  • Tort law (15 credits) 

  • Trusts law (15 credits) 

  • Foundational Legal Skills (non-credit bearing) 

Stage Two(60 credits)

Demonstrate your passion with a research project in an area of law or practice you’re interested in. You’ll increase your depth of knowledge in law, while making your applications for pupillage or qualifying work experience stand out.

Based on independent research, you’ll receive expert guidance and support throughout the project, with structured meetings with a tutor supervisor and additional online resources.

Types of assessment

  • Exams with written elements and multiple-choice questions (some of which are part-seen, involving advanced release of assessment material). Pass mark is 50%

Full-time: You will typically receive between eight to 10 contact hours per week in small group workshops. In addition to this contact time, students will be required to complete approximately 30 hours of independent study per week. The majority of your time spent preparing the Professional Project will be independent self-study with structured supervision. 

Part-time: We offer a variety of part-time options including evening, weekend and online study. You will typically receive four contact hours per week. In addition to this contact time, you will be required to complete approximately 10-12 hours of independent learning per week. The majority of your time spent preparing the Professional Project will be independent self-study with structured supervision.

A deposit of £350 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer on all our courses, to secure your place. 

In addition to your fees, there may be additional charges associated with your studies if you need to resit a BPP assessment.
