Apprenticeship Overview

Enhance your customers’ banking experience with the skills to effectively resolve enquiries and solve problems. You’ll become confident and capable in the day-to-day transactions and practices within banking, applying what you learn hands-on in your role.  

Whether you’re advising customers in branch, over the phone, or online, you’ll learn how to help them access essential services, from administering accounts, helping to use new digital services, resolving customer problems and complaints, to identifying sales opportunities and making referrals. 

With a new depth of knowledge of banking systems and processes, you’ll ensure that you’re operating within financial services legal and regulatory frameworks. You’ll learn what it takes to deliver outstanding service, through listening and communication, problem solving, resilience and relationship building. Taking what you learn into your role, you’ll start your career off right, impacting customers’ lives and boosting your organisation’s reputation.

Who's eligible?

Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but to apply for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role. 

If you do not have a level 2 qualification in English and maths (e.g. GCSE grades 9-4), then you’ll be required to complete these as part of your apprenticeship.
