Apprenticeship Overview

Taught by experienced insurance practitioners, you’ll learn the foundational knowledge and skills you need to perform efficiently in a range of insurance areas. Make an impact from day one, with learning that is directly relevant to your role and organisation, backed by a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification

To support your development, you’ll learn soft skills to power decision making, ensuring you deliver effective and reliable service to clients. You’ll demonstrate high level skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and relationship management. 

Depending on your employer, your CII Certificate in Insurance modules will be either the London Markets (LM) pathway, or the Insurnace Fundamentals (IF) pathway. 

Who is the programme for?

The Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship is an entry level qualification for those looking to start their career, and career changers. 

This apprenticeship is ideal for: 

  • Junior Insurance Brokers

  • Insurance Underwriting Assistants 

  • Insurance Claims Handlers/Junior Loss Adjusters 

Where will the programme take you?

With the knowledge and skills to operate as a fully proficient insurance practitioner, you’ll deliver a high quality of service to your organisation’s clients. Your qualification will also enable you to become a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute

Take your specialist training further with the Level 4 Insurance Professional Apprenticeship, with opportunities to specialise further in your chosen area of insurance while earning a CII Diploma. 

Who's eligible?

Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but typically includes:   

  • A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and maths  

OR   

  • Relevant work experience  

To apply for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role.
