BPP University Partnerships

In December 2012, BPP University’s Academic Council approved a policy to enable BPP University to enter into academic collaborations.

BPP University’s policy on collaborative activity can be found in Part M of the University’s General Academic Regulations and Manual of Policies and Procedures.

These confirm that BPP University retains ultimate authority and responsibility for the academic standards and the quality of the student learning opportunities of all awards conferred in its name, including those delivered under collaborative provision. Such authority includes responsibility for academic standards, the quality of the learning experience, the enhancement of the learning experience and the accuracy and clarity of published information.

The policy aims, amongst other things, to provide prospective partners with transparent guidance on BPP University’s collaborative provision expectations, policy and procedures and to aid the establishment of successful, financially viable and robust collaborative arrangements which benefit students.

BPP University does not act as a validation service nor does it franchise its awards.

Prospective partner organisations who have read the above policy and would like to contact BPP University to discuss possible ways of enhancing the learning experience of BPP University’s students may contact BPP University’s Academic Quality Team by email at AcademicQuality@bpp.com

Until a legally binding agreement is entered into with a prospective partner, no collaborative arrangement shall be inferred or deemed to be approved and no reference to any such arrangement should be included in any public information.

*A partnership is defined as any situation where the achievement of the learning outcomes of the BPP University module or programme are dependent on the arrangement with the delivery organisation or support provider. In certain circumstances, although the achievement of learning outcomes of a BPP University module or programme is not achieved through the arrangement, BPP University endorses the provision of a third party. An endorsed provider provides services directly to students through a contract between the provider and the student. Although the services do not lead to credit or provide an integral part of a BPP University programme or module, the services are provided to students in accordance with the terms of a contract between BPP University and the service provider and are monitored for quality by BPP University. In addition, the BPP University name is used in marketing the endorsed services and the services are recommended to students by BPP University.
