Apprenticeship Overview

Learn while you practise, supervised by industry experts. On this Acturial Technician apprenticeship, you’ll learn what it takes to operate within a high performing actuary team. You’ll gain the skills to apply mathematical and statistical models to assess risk within a commercial context. 

Learn how to use the specialist software you need to carry out your role. Training you to a high level of competency, you’ll harness the power of software to transform findings and make impactful reports. 

Alongside your technical skills you’ll become adept at using and organising data. Adopt new processes that put data first, preparing and checking the accuracy of datasets ready for analysis and modelling. You’ll also develop crucial communication skills, helping you share your findings with a range of stakeholders and ensuring you play a role in shaping your organisation.

Who's eligible?

Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but typically includes:  

  • Three A-Levels or equivalent, including A-Level maths at grades A* to B 

  • GCSE English and maths at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)
