240 credits from years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject

Course structure
Global Health and Sustainability (20 credits)
Investigate the profound effects of climate change and environmental factors on health, exploring global health policy and governance frameworks. You’ll cultivate a holistic understanding of global health through discussions of cultural sensitivity, ethics, and technological innovations. Develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate health and social care settings, addressing pressing global health challenges sustainably.
Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care Settings (20 credits)
This module will ensure you’re able to lead and manage effectively within health and social care settings. Exploring organisational structures underpinning service delivery and managers’ roles and functions in fostering efficient and ethical practices, you’ll develop communication strategies and skills in effective resource management. You will also explore change management and adaptability, preparing you to navigate dynamic environments while proactively addressing challenges.
Health Law, Policy and Governance in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy, and governance frameworks that shape health and social care systems. You will explore critical topics such as legal and regulatory structures, patient rights, and health policy development, analysing their impact on care delivery and advocacy. You will also study global health policy and international governance, emphasising the interconnectedness of health systems worldwide.
Integrative Care and Collaborative Practice in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
Examine key topics including integrated care systems, effective communication, role delineation in interdisciplinary teams, and coordinating transitional and continuity of care. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of liaison and case management in complex care, as well as collaborative decision-making, and goal-setting within patient-centred frameworks.
Project (40 credits)
This module emphasises research, critical thinking, and self-directed learning, providing students with the tools to explore health and social care principles and practices in depth. Building your portfolio through a professional project, you’ll deepen your understanding of health and social care services while enhancing your readiness for professional roles or further study.

Full-time students will typically receive eight contact hours per week and will need to devote at least 30 hours a week to study.

Examinations will be both written and electronic including assessment techniques which may include elements or multiple-choice questions and maybe unseen or part-seen, where assessment material is released in advance.
BPP University offers flexibility in how these assessments are undertaken, and the programme will utilise online tools where available to deliver assessments. On occasion, some assessments may require attendance at a physical location.

A deposit of £350 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer in order to secure your place.
