Read our top tips on how you can fund your legal studies at BPP.

We understand that it can be a challenge to self-fund your postgraduate legal studies. We have a huge range of funding options available to you at BPP to help you pay for your course in a way that works for you.

Postgraduate loan funding of up to £12,167
You can access government-funded postgraduate loans of up to £12,167 across each of our law programmes by simply upgrading to an LLM (Master of Laws) – you can do this in a few ways:

LLM Legal Practice Course
Add the ‘Law Review and Reform’ and ‘Practice Ready (Negotiation and Case Analysis)’ modules to your LPC to qualify with an LLM Legal Practice (Solicitors).

Law Conversion Course (Master's)
Add either a professional project, SQE 1 preparation or our BTC Part 1 to your PGDL to qualify with an LLM Law and Legal Practice.

Barrister Training Course (Master's)
Qualify with an LLM Legal Practice (Bar) by adding either a professional project or SQE1 preparation to your BTC.

You can find further details of these funding options here.

BPP University scholarships
With over £1m available in our fund, we offer a variety of full and partial fee awards including the Dean of BPP University Law School Scholarship, Future Leader Scholarship, Chancellor’s Scholarship and Career Commitment Scholarship – all of which are applicable across our law programmes.

In addition, there’s the Diversity Access Scheme for LPC students, STEM Scholarship for PGDL students, and BTC Excellence and Advocacy Scholarships for the BTC.

Third party loans
Personal loans can be used to finance your studies, in addition to existing student finance options from Student Finance UK. If you choose this option, we strongly urge you to choose a reputable loan provider that is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

We work with two trusted lenders, Future Finance Loans and Lendwise, who are specialists in providing loans for educational purposes - and are authorised by the FCA.

Future Finance Loans enables students to borrow between £2,000 - £40,000 to cover tuition costs. Loans are offered to UK, EU and international students with a UK domiciled address.

All BPP University courses are eligible for a Lendwise student loan. UK resident students, of any nationality, can borrow towards tuition fees and living expenses for postgraduate or professional qualifications.

You can find out more about these lenders here.

Flexible payment plans
Spread the cost of your fees across a number of instalments through our flexible payment plans. Simply pay your deposit upfront then spread the remaining cost over a maximum of 16 instalments.
