KPMG and BPP have joined forces to be the first to offer the ‘Digital Accountant’ training programme across the Crown Dependencies.
KPMG and BPP have joined forces to be the first to offer the ‘Digital Accountant’ training programme across the Crown Dependencies. This makes KPMG the only Big Four firm operating in the Crown Dependencies of Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man to currently offer this training programme to its staff.
BPP is an established global training provider based in the Channel Islands and are the sole provider, outside of the UK, to offer this advanced course, developed by their UK office. The partnership with KPMG in the Crown Dependencies will help to ensure that KPMG is at the helm of professional services firms operating in a digital era.
Designed to be compatible with both ACA and ACCA studies, all new starters enrolled on either training programme will become digitally astute in order to successfully tackle technology related challenges and support their clients through this rapidly changing environment.
The course will encompass cybersecurity, big data, AI, ethical issues in technology, data analytics and digital innovation. With BPP, trainee accountants across the three islands will be provided high-quality tuition and support throughout the three years of Professional Qualification training; all candidates will qualify as either ACCA or ICAEW members, along with completion of the Digital Accountant programme.
Steve Stormonth, Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies and based in Guernsey, commented, “With BPP, we have a fantastic training partner with a proven track record of excellent exam results who continues to drive forward bold ideas for the next generation of digital accountants. The bespoke training programme will be fundamental in ensuring KPMG is at the forefront of accountancy in the future years to come.”
Stuart Chandler, Commercial Director at BPP CI, commented, “We are delighted to be able to pioneer our digital training programme with KPMG in the Crown Dependencies. The need for digital literacy across financial services is vital and has driven our development of the product. Working with such a prestigious organisation as KPMG indicates their desire to develop leaders in their field.”
