Fraud warning
Students at higher education institutions are at risk of being approached by individuals offering to pay their fees at a discounted rate with promises of a more convenient payment experience. Fraudsters may present themselves as legitimate agencies, associates or even as friends. Such individuals may then pay tuition fees using illegitimate payment methods, such as through stolen credit cards.
Unfortunately, this may mean students have to pay their fees again, as if fees are not received by the University or withdrawn due to payment coming from an illegitimate source, there would still be outstanding fees owed to the University. The University will hold no responsibility for payments from unauthorised methods.
Students need to be careful when paying fees to BPP University and to always use BPP’s only authorised payment partner Flywire, or the payment methods available on this page. Students must be extremely wary of any third parties offering to pay fees on their behalf (for example, any third parties offering any fee discounts in return for cash payments or payment through a non-authorised payment website).
Students should NOT utilise third parties to make their payments to BPP University. By using third parties there is no guarantee that the payments will be received by the University and students can suffer losses as a result of these transfers. If in doubt, students should always contact the Student Finance Team or your Admissions officer.
Please read the article in the link below. It gives you 6 steps to ensure you stay safe while making payments.
Money laundering
You may also be asked to receive some money into your bank account and transfer to another account, keeping some for yourself. Don’t be fooled by quick cash offers. Be very wary of anyone, including someone you know, who asks you to do this.
This may be a fraud called ‘Money Laundering’ and is used to fund serious criminal activities. Money Laundering is a criminal offence and may land you in serious trouble with the Police, affect your credit rating and result in your bank accounts being frozen.

Tips
Don’t share personal info, such as your bank account or debit/credit card details with anyone unless you know and can trust them.
The University will never request you to email your credit or debit card details.
Be wary of offers of easy money. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
Be observant for the quality of communications; like ads and emails with bad spelling and grammar.
If you receive suspicious texts, do not reply or click any links.
